How can I create a Strategy Map in QuickScore V3?  I can’t find a way to build a background or add the link arrows between the bubbles.

Hi Isabela,

Strategy Maps are created in the Dashboards section. However, there is not a function to create the ‘link arrows’ between the bubbles so you have to create a background first and import it as an image. Please do the following: (You need to create a Scorecard first)

  1. Use PowerPoint (or another graphics editor) and create your strategy map.
  2. Export the strategy map as a picture
  3. Open QuickScore, and click on Dashboards
  4. Click on the briefcase icon (top-left) and select the correct Organisation
  5. Click on Edit (bottom left in sub-menu)
  6. Select New Dashboard and give it a name, click Create
  7. Click on the Plus (+) button to add a ‘widget’
  8. Select ‘Image’ and upload the picture of the Strategy Map background previously saved
  9. Click on the Plus (+) button and select Bubble then Scorecard Item
  10. Select the Strategy Map objectives from a scorecard, clicking Add after every selection.
  11. When you have finished ‘adding’, click on the Plus(+) button and then Save
  12. Rearrange the strategy map bubbles to overlay the background image.

At this time there is no text editor available (coming in V3.1) so to add text, e.g. the Perspective names, you will need to create them in PowerPoint, save as an image and then import the image.  It’s a bit clunky at the moment, but this will be sorted out in version 3.1 due in the summer.
